14-year-old Leah Murphy from north Queensland, Australia flew over 1,600 miles to Brisbane to attend a Pink concert but she was unaware that this concert would become the most important event of her life. Murphy who lost her mother back in June , held a plycard demanding a hug from singer. To her utter surprise, her wish did come true and Pink paused her concert for a brief just to shower a warm hug to the teen.
Murphy’s mother, Debbie, who was one of the biggest fan and considered Pink as one of her idol, had purchased tickets with a friend for the singer’s concert in Sydney but passed away before she could attend. However,Murphy and a relative, Katrina Donkin, attended Tuesday night’s show in their place.
During the show, Murphy waved a sign that read, “My name is Leah — I’m 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would LOVE a hug . . . Please!” The sign moved other concertgoers, who later found themselves passing and waving it throughout the crowd until the message eventually made its way on stage to Pink. After reading it aloud, the singer stepped down from the stage to give the teen a hug.
Happy tears were all around.Pink’s gesture was so beautiful and meaningful along with her comforting words.Teen’s dream did come true 🙂
All in all , Pink’s concert was an emotional and dreamy affair 🙂
