Pav Bhaji ~ Goodness Of Vegetables In Each Gulp

India is well known for its tangy street food loaded with spices. Pav Bhaji is one such dish which rules the heart of every Indian.Its easy to make with goodness of fresh vegetables  which can be had at any time of the day.Check out easy to follow recipe  and party on!

Ingredients :

3 Potatoes, Chopped
1 Cup Peas
1 Cup Cauliflower Florets
1/2 Cup Carrots,finely Chopped
1 Cup Onion,Chopped
1 Cup Tomatoes, Chopped
1/2 Cup Capsicum, Finely Chopped
3-4 Cloves Garlic, Chopped
4-5 Tbsp Butter + Extra Butter for garnishing
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Tsp Paprika
2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tsp Coriander Powder
1 Tsp Dry Mango Powder
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Orange Food Color (optional to make it look more street like)
Sliced Lime, onion rings and green chillies for garnish


Take 4 cups of water in a large pan on medium heat.Transfer potatoes,peas,cauliflower,carrots to it and bring them to a boil till they are soft and mushy.
Once soft, drain off the water and mash the boiled vegetables with the help of masher.
In a pan, melt 3 tbsp of butter.Add cumin seeds, garlic and onions. Saute till translucent.
Spice it up with paprika, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and black pepper powder. Give it a quick stir.
Add chopped tomatoes and capsicum to the above mix and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.Transfer the mashed vegetables to it and mix.Add some water and let it cook for another 5-10 minutes.You might add few drops of orange food color to give your bhaji a street like feel.
Grease non stick pan with butter and roast your slider buns (pav).
Serve bhaji garnished with lime, onions ,fresh coriander leaves and green chillies.Dip your pav in bhaji and let the spices explode in your mouth.
