20 Year Old Naomi Osaka Beats Serena Williams ,Becomes First Japanese To Win Grand Slam Singles Title!

Before the US Open 2018 , 20 year old Naomu Osaka had never reached a Grand Slam quarterfinal.And now, she is the first Japanese born tennis player to win a Grand Slam.They’re not dreams. They’re goals .Her hardwork has completely paid off.

She defeated Serena Williams 6-2, 6-4 to become the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam singles title!Also, she will now be ranked as #7 which will make her the highest-ranked Japanese player since Kimiko Date on October 14, 1996.

She walked off the court with more than just the prestige that comes with winning the nation’s most famous tennis tournament. She also got a $3.8 million cheque.

Overwhelmed by her victory , she said “When I step on the court, I’m not a Serena fan – I’m just a tennis player playing another tennis player. But when I hugged her at the net, I felt like a little kid again.”
